In a meeting with a group of Afghan scholars, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi said,” “I have always believed in the distinguished status of Afghanistan—a land that has nurtured a rich heritage of scholars, students, and wise individuals. AhlulBayt News Agency: In a meeting with a group of Afghan scholars, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi said,” “I have always believed in the distinguished status of Afghanistan—a land that has nurtured a rich heritage of scholars, students, and wise individuals. The students, scholars, and elders of Afghanistan shine brightly, not only in scientific and cultural fields, but also in religious propagation.”

He continued: “I believe that among the scientific institutions of the Islamic world, Al-Mustafa International University ranks among the best—if not at the very top.”

Referring to the deep-rooted and strong ties between the Iranian and Afghan peoples, the Head of Iran’s Seminaries stated: “The unity, shared identity, and mutual empathy of the two nations are more palpable than anywhere else.”

Emphasizing the significant role of the Afghan Shiite community in the broader Islamic nation, the member of the Assembly of Experts said: “This great community is truly one of the influential pillars of the Islamic world today. Scholars—whether in Iran, Afghanistan, or in exile—have long been the standard-bearers of the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT), and have taken major strides in advancing Islamic ideals.”

Pointing out the current challenges facing the Islamic world and the plots of the forces of disbelief and arrogance, he stressed: “Today, the Islamic nation requires heightened vigilance and wisdom. Scholars are at the heart of this movement and must remain the focus of attention.”

Ayatollah Arafi concluded by saying: “Unity and empathy are the first and last word for the Islamic Ummah today. Despite existing challenges, we must overcome them with wisdom and cohesion. It is the responsibility of all scholars across the Islamic world to protect and reinforce the unity of the Ummah.”
